Ease of Use:

• Position your phone beside the track, ensuring the red line on the camera preview aligns with a track lane.
• Press 'Calibrate'; the app will adjust automatically within a few seconds.
• Hit 'Start' and place your car onto the track.
• The app will accurately log your lap times as the car crosses beneath the red line.

Important Notes:

• Avoid casting shadows on the track, as this may lead to inaccurate measurements.
• Do not relocate the phone during use, or recalibration will be necessary.

This application is versatile and can also be employed for slot cars or other similar activities. Lap records can be exported in CSV format for Excel integration or sent directly via email.

Good lighting conditions are crucial for optimal performance; as the app relies on shadow differences to detect passing vehicles. Poor lighting may lead to interference from moving objects, and adequate illumination enhances camera frame rates, improving timing accuracy. If your vehicle travels too quickly for detection, consider positioning your phone at the conclusion of a slower section of your track.
